Brad Roderick, executive vice president of Inkcycle, provides green office tips, leadership advice and internal eco-communication strategies. According to Roderick, over the last few years, there are better practices to be able to remanufacture, recycle, reduce and reuse materials than there ever have been before. Some of the suggested office changes are energy saving lights, eco-friendly flooring, using recycled copier paper and replacing company vehicles with hybrids. “You have to have ‘buy-in’ at the top and a long term strategy. I think this is where a lot of people struggle with it. Found in a random block of toilets at Abbey Park in Leicester are these granite rimlesses again. Haven’t seen them in ages. This one features a “touch” sensor flush (By DVS I believe) and a very powerful, but short flush. These toilets aren’t the nicest, they’re in an enclosed seperate cubicle, that is lit by energy saving lights which makes it feel weirder, and with no windows or proper working vents, it’s quite claustrophobic.
